Breakfast: The essential meal for a child.

Is it truth, that the breakfast is the most important meal of the day?
The first meal of the day, gives our body energy and about 50% of the amount of our daily requirements in vitamins. Comparing an adult’s daily requirements in nutrients to a child’s, you can easily realise that you need less than your child. In contrast, when adding the calories spent by a child daily due to physical activity, the energy requirements will instantly rise. These two reasons make eating breakfast an important thing, but scientists support it also by concluding after having completed long-term studies that people, who don’t have this habit, tend to increase their weight throughout the years.

Additionally, recent studies showed that children who had no breakfast or even had breakfast, but not complete, were usually unable to pay the proper attention in classroom, felt sleepy and couldn’t concentrate. Moreover during the afternoon, they had cravings for sweets and chocolate, which is a risk factor for obesity.
