Eating habits in ancient Greece. Tip-1:Beverages

The uniqueness and the interesting thing about ancient Greek civilization also include its eating habits. The ancient Greek diet represents the best nutritional model ever because it is based on the authentic products of Greek land.  Ancient Greek diet includes plenty of vegetables, fruits, a great variety of dry fruits, meet and sea food.

Due to the lack of coffee, ancient Greeks was drinking miscellaneous beverages made by herbs and honey diluted in water.  The most popular beverage, which was drunk at the early morning, called “kikeonas”.  This was consisted of boiled thyme, flavoured with sesame or mint, milk and half-hearted water with honey.
